The Barcelona Football Club was created on November 29, 1899 by Gamper. The flag represented the people’s hopes for freedom and is still the symbol of a special relationship between one of the biggest clubs of the world and its supporters.
Beyond all the domestic and European Cups won through the years, the FCB presents an incredible particularity. It is the only team in Europe that has participated in every European Cup since 1955, date of the first edition of this wonderful competition.

The Camp Nou, inaugurated on September 24th, 1957, is one of the most impressive stadiums in Europe. The huge size of this arena added to the noise made by Barça supporters create an incredible atmosphere well known by all football addicts in the world. More than a football stadium, the Camp Nou has become one of the most visited sites in Barcelona.
The name Camp Nou (new field) is due to the fact that before its creation, the Barcelona Football Club was playing in another stadium called Vell Camp (old field). As the Club was growing, the directors thought that every great team deserved a great stadium and they decided to build the magnificient building we know today.
